VORTEX TRANSFORMATION

This photo was submitted by Patti Saylor at saylors@ridgenet.net.

According to her letter, "The photograph was taken from our kitchen looking into the living room. My daughter who was 4 years old at the time took this photo with our Argus 35mm camera and Kodak Gold 200 film."

"My husband just brought me and our newborn son home from the hospital. The image in the background is my husband, the floor sinks down from the living room into the den area behind the wall which makes him look as if he standing at a distance. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the photos in your Ghost Photo Gallery and discovered my daughter may may have caught a vortex on film."

Dave's Notes: The first photo is very interesting since it shows a traditional vortex swirling upward from the right side to left side until it terminates in a ectoplasmic ball or globe. The second photo shows the termination point and the resulting sphere which is so common on some of the photos posted on this website.

It appears that the vortex is transforming from a column shaped ectoplasm to a sphere. Perhaps this shows the natural pattern for transforming from one to the other. This is not the first time that a vortex has been captured on film as it transforms into a sphere. It almost appears as the spheres are traveling down a tunnel composed of white ectoplasm...check out the individual spheres within the vortex on the upper right side.
