Michael said, "The house is called Avenel and is located on what is now Avenel Street in Bedford, Virginia. This was formerly an old plantation house built in the 1700's and till this day still stands. However, it is now surrounded by other homes and an apartment complex. It also recently under went a restoration process by the town of Bedford as it is considered a historical monument. The legend of the house tells of the "White Lady of Avenel", an apparition that would appear unpredictably as a whole body apparition. She would float across the street to a large, old oak tree where she would appear to dematerialize and disappear. Upon hearing this legend I decided to conduct my first real "paranormal" investigation. "
I went to the house around midnight about seven years ago. My wife and a mutual friend accompanied me to the house as we planned to sit outside for a few hours and hope that we would be given a chance to see the White Lady of Avenel. She had this name supposedly because of a subdued white glow that emitted from her. I had taken my camera with me and had taken photos using about two rolls of film. The first night that we visited we saw and heard nothing, but as you look at the pictures that I sent you you will see what showed up.
