These photos were taken by Dave Oester with a Sony Mavica FD7 digital camera during the investigation of Green Mountain Cemetery, near Rainier, OR with members of the IGHS chapter, Northwest Ghost Society, on April 11, 1998, during a full moon.
This ectoplasmic vortex was captured as Sharon felt the movement of something past her. She pointed in the direction she felt the anomaly was moving and I snapped this photo. Notice the club members to the left and one standing behind the vortex.
Notice also that it has a classical curve that is similar to the vertical vortices. This is the first vortex captured in a cemetery!
Many researchers doubt the existence of vortices and suggest they are camera straps, but this picture clearly shows the vortex cannot be a camera strap. As a professional, the camera strap is always around my neck to protect the expensive digital camera in the event that I should trip over a low grave. I would suggest that skeptics complete some basic photography classes before offering absurd explanations that defy common sense.
